My Journey From being lost and scammed to finding direction in tech — this 1.5-year journey shares real lessons every beginner needs to hear.
It’s My Journey :-
Hey everyone, I’m Prashant — a guy with big dreams and a strong belief that nothing is impossible. Around a year and a half ago, I set out on a path without knowing where it would take me. Just two months into actively working on this dream, I’ve already faced countless setbacks, failures, scams, and breakdowns. But through it all, I’ve learned valuable lessons from every mistake — and today, I want to share a piece of that journey with you.
How It All Began:
It all started when I had just finished my studies. I didn’t have many friends, no clear direction, and honestly, I felt lost. As a commerce student, I was expected to follow a traditional path — but something inside me was drawn to the world of programming and tech. With no guidance or mentorship, I decided to go solo. And that was my first mistake. Never dive into something blindly — without clarity, you’ll end up wasting time, just like I did.
I tried to learn everything at once — which, looking back, was just chaos. I skipped practicing, didn’t apply what I learned, and kept going in circles. Then I made another mistake: trusting the wrong mentor. When you look up to someone as your guide, it hurts even more when they lead you the wrong way. I lost three more months following someone who wasn’t worth the time.
Now, it’s April, and after wasting over a year in confusion and trial-and-error, I finally feel focused and ready. I’ve learned the hard way — and if you’re starting your own journey, I hope my story can help you avoid the same traps.
🌱 My Journey into Tech: From Confusion to Clarity
🎓 Phase 1: The Unexpected Spark
- Finished my 12th with Commerce and enrolled in a Bachelor’s in Commerce.
- But something else caught my eye — Programming & Web Development.
- Decided to take a leap and joined a local institute to learn.
🚧 Phase 2: The First Mistake – Wrong Path, Wrong Teaching
- Expected to learn web dev tools like HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Node.js, React, etc.
- But was thrown into a flood of random topics:
- HTML, CSS, JS ✅
- C, C++, Java ❌
- C#, SQL, Python, WordPress ❌
- Result? 6 months wasted. Too many basics, no depth, no clear direction.
- My brain was overloaded, and I ended up more confused than when I started.
🔍 Phase 3: Self-Discovery Mode – YouTube University
- Took a break from the chaos and turned to YouTube.
- Spent 3 months exploring what I actually needed:
- Tried Python first – easy to learn, but no real use-case guidance.
- Came back to the essentials: HTML, CSS, JS, Node.js ✅
- Dabbled with WordPress & PHP for practical knowledge.
- Slowly started understanding what I needed to focus on — finally, some clarity.
🧭 Phase 4: Looking for Guidance – The Wrong Mentor
- After building some base skills, I felt the need for a guide or mentor.
- Found one — and unfortunately, it was the worst decision of my journey.
- The guy had no real knowledge.
- Wasted 2 months making me run in circles.
- Only thing I gained: frustration and a realization that not everyone deserves your time.
- Learned a bit about SEO and databases on my own during this phase.
- Lesson: Choose your mentors very wisely — or better yet, learn how to guide yourself.
💡 Phase 5: An Unexpected Light – Real Support: In My Journey
- It was February when things started to shift.
- I met someone who didn’t know anything about programming —
— but she understood me. - Her emotional support brought clarity and confidence back into my life.
- Over time, our bond grew deeper (a little confidential, but special).
- Lesson: You may not always find the right mentor,
— but if you find the right partner, that’s even more powerful.
🚀 Phase 6: Clarity, Focus, and Real Learning: In My Journey
- It’s April now — and for the first time, everything feels clear.
- I know:
- What to learn
- Where to learn it
- How to apply it
- I’m still on the journey, still learning every day —
— but now, I’m on the right track, and that makes all the difference. - I’ve stopped depending on mentors and started trusting myself.
❤️ Final Advice from Me: In My Journey
- Don’t trust everyone who claims to guide you — especially without proof.
- Never walk blind — always know why you’re learning something.
- Surround yourself with people who genuinely care about your growth.
- Sometimes, a good partner can be better than a good teacher.
